X-RAYS

X-RAYS is the iconic medical imaging tool that helps to scan the human body. It helps to identify the

• Hidden fractures

• Tumors

And other things that we can’t see through the human eye. It is the true workhorse of medicine, offering a quick, painless, and relatively affordable way to diagnose various conditions.

It uses electromagnetic radiation called X-rays. These rays pass through your body, and tissues absorb them in different amounts. Dense tissues like bones absorb most of the rays. The soft tissues like muscles and fat make them pass through them. On the other hand, a unique film captures the remaining X-rays. This creates a picture where dense tissues appear white and soft tissues appear grey or black.

• Broken bones

• Fractures

• Cracks

Which is white on an X-ray, making them easy to spot.

Dislocations. When bone slips out of its proper place, its position on the X-ray will differ from what it should be, revealing the dislocation.

Joint problems, arthritis, gout, and other joint issues can be shown in the joint’s spacing or appearance of bones and cartilage.

Tumors and infections: X-rays can sometimes reveal tumors or abscesses that show up as dense masses.

X-rays primarily show in bones. They can be used to image other body parts.

Chest X rays  chest-x rays can reveal

• Pneumonia

• Fluid in the lungs

• Problems with the heart

Belly: Abdominal X-rays can sometimes show

• bowel obstructions

• kidney stones

Teeth: Dental X-rays help dentists see cavities, abscesses, etc
